Good Friday was spent dyeing Easter Eggs at Aunt Sara's house. We all had a blast, dyeing 8 1/2 dozen eggs. The kids had colored fingers for days. The Saturday before Easter, we went and purchased 10 small baby chicks. Jay and I are going to try our hand at raising some chicks for eggs. We currently have 5 Rhode Island Reds, and 5 Amerucanas. The Amerucana's are known as being the original "Easter Egg" chicken, laying medium sized blue/green eggs. So far, these little guys have made it 11 days. Jay loves to show off his baby chicks, to everyone!
Happy Easter from us. Jay got to experience Easter Egg hunting 5 times. It was a very busy week/weekend. Jay has become the expert hunter. Mother Nature gave us some crazy weather this year. We woke up to 2 inches of snow on my car, that quickly melted off. throughout the day, we had sunshine, sleet, rain and snow. What a day for the weather men.
