Christmas Mania!

These boots are made for walking.... And a good thing too because these were received on our first night of Christmas. Not Hanukkah, Christmas. We had 6 nights of wonderful, family fun and chaos! Jay received these workin boots from Grandma Sharon and Grandpa George . He loves them ,and can't wait to wear them everywhere. Which happens to be good because that's where we are headed. Everywhere.
Jay and Tyler can hardly wait to see what's in all of these presents!

The Franklin's was the 2nd stop of the season. In addition to our new fridge, we made out pretty well. Jay was given a new Gator, that Jack fell in love with too. Jack received the official 1 year old Christmas gift, the Schwinn tricycle, but found this large green gator to be more exciting. Mom and dad brought this out last, had they not, I don't think the boys would have been interested in anything else. Of course now that we have had time to digest all of our gifts, both boys love all of their toys. Grandma Shirley came too, and had a blast watching all the kids excitement!

Christmas morning at our house!

My first pictures ever taken with my new camera! This happened to be to the left of me, as I opened it up! I really can't express how excited I am to have this. Scott knew I had been wanting a new camera, but I really had no idea what I wanted. I had heard the tern SLR and that it was wonderful so I would say, Oh yeah I want an SLR, like I knew what I was talking about. Anyway, Scott went and did some reading and talking and thought this would be great for me, and it IS!!!!!

Jay taking water, somewhere to someone. We had to get outside FAST, after opening our presents. This was a gift from the night before! Oh how excited we are to have a new piece of equipment for Jay. We have already hauled wood chips to the chicken house. The doorway was getting a little too muddy, so Jay and I made a nice cedar door mat for us. This can hold quite a bit.

Here I am trying out my new CAMERA, yes that's right, Scott, aka Husband of the Year! Bought me a new Cannon Rebel for Christmas! I love it,and I love him :) I have had so much fun, and haven't even read the directions yet ! We'll see if I ever get around to that.

In Scott's words this is one tough little "son of a buck" He had to wear his new boots from Grandma and Grandpa, as well as the cowboy hat, we found buried in the dark hole of a closet he has. And in that dark hole, I found this sweater, I had bought at the lake this year, It was the perfect outfit to dress up as a cowboy. Scott hated it, I thought it was kind of cute, or really cute.

I guess the 4 of us really like to pose for pics, OR... everyone is so enamored with our beauty they want to take pics of us, that's it... here we are Abi, Me, Angie and Jodi... Sis is the beauty in the recliner!

Is it over yet? The day was long. Wonderful ,but long. We were trying to pose for a family pic. As you can see, it didn't turn out to be the best. We even had photographer Abi shooting for us. Oh well, I have decided to love this pic! May even be framed and hung, or sent in cards... We'll just have to see.

Our 4th stop of the season was to Sharon and George's for the Hasekamp/Franz side. This is Grandma Lena's sister that come. They are lovely ladies, that we are always thrilled to see. Aunt Helen and Aunt D.

Just some of the ladies of the evening... Grandma Sharon, Aunt Helen, Aunt D, Grandam Betty and Aunt Sis, the flannel sleeve belongs to Ronnie....

Tyler, Jay, Joderz, Abi and Dustin- All cousins. I grew up with a whopping 4 cousins. In this family Jay is used to referring to everyone as a cousin or an aunt, and if he gives people either of those labels, he is correct. They are everywhere! Making for very fun times!

Aunt Sara and Sharon with their Snow Bear ingredients. A Snow Bear is a DELISH!!!! drink, frozen concoction that involves 2 kinds of yummy liquor! I'll have to get the recipe and post.

After returning home, Jay HAD to get his new dancing clothes on, that Santa brought him. You may be seeing more of these in the future. SANTA- had a hard time finding "dancin clothes". So after 3 resale shop, Ebay and Craig's List, I(Santa) found this handsome tux at Once Upon a Child. Jay absolutely loves his dancing clothes, and has deemed some of his underwear dancin undies too! He is hoping to wear this to our New Year's Eve celebration... It's a 1969 Prom theme.

Our 5th stop of the season was to my aunt and unlce's that live in a new home in Eureka. It was quite the drive, but very nice to see everyone. Mom, dad, Jill and Jack had the pleasure of riding with Grandma.... She isn't known for being quiet in the car, or anywhere for that matter. Our ride was so pleasant, despite the pouring rain.

Jay and Jack were very into watching the Santa on Mark and Bonita's porch. It was too cute of a shot to pass up.

The last and final day of celebrating Christmas, was with the Shaw clan at Great Grandma Betty's. We had a breakfast and then an afternoon meal of PRIME RIB! It was delicious, and we loved every minute of it. The gift exchange was done differently, instead of being assigned and person to buy a $25 gift for, we all brought a $5 gift for an exchange. We played games and almost everyone left with what they wanted.

The kids had a Christmas Bingo, they played to win their prizes, and had a blast with that too. Jay fell in love with Grandma Betty's finished basement, and let us all know that is what he wanted when we move to a new house.

Jodi- The MC of "Who Knows Their Family the Best", featuring George, Donnie and Gary. All 3 men, surprised us with the amount of answers they knew. I was, obviously pulling for George!!! I think, it was Gary who won, a wonderful new.... kitchen towel!

That's it... Can you believe in 6 days that is all we did, that I could get on the camera. I hope everyone had a season as great as ours! Happy New YEAR too!
