HAPPY NEW YEAR- 2009!!!

This New Year's, Chris and Leah invited us to their annual party. Always a theme with them, and they sure go all out. It was 1969 PROM, a few really had clothes from this era, some wore 20's, some wore new clothes, and we were the scuzzy hippies... with the exception of Jay in his "dancin clothes" his choice.... We ended up having a really good time, after our apprehension wore off. The crowd there is always very different. Many kinds of people, and not too many really know each other... After a few hours, drinks, snacks whatever- we had made friends with some more people and were hugging each other as we sang "Happy New Year" .

Wishing us all a WONDERFUL 2009!!!!

I guess you could call us the anit-prom couple. I had a terrible time finding the right kind of clothes, we were a bit casual compared to some, like the weird neighbors in NEW prom dresses,... I'll stop there, some of you may have heard me ramble on that one. Anyway, we were comfortable and had fun!

Jay and his dancing partner Leah... I loved her dress, and it was her mother's from 1969 Prom....

Scott and Chris. It's hard to see, but under Scott's fine polyester sport coat, his t reads 1969. The theme of the party and some one's favorite number.... Chris' attire was found on the back rack at Finley's powder blue edged in black velvet. SWEET!

John John, and Jay Fred in their New Year's best. John's was Spiderman jammies, and Jay had to change into his "dancin clothes" around 11:40. He knew he needed to be ready for something! And he sure was, this pic he isn't wearing it, but he also wore a New Year's crown with tulle on it. What a stylish man....

I had to include a pic of one of my crazy eggs. Notice it has a nipple. Who ever heard of an egg with a nipple? Well now you have and seen it too...

Scott and Jay recovering on the couch after a wild night of New Years. Wild Turkey, Capri Sun, whatever it was, wore them both out. I'm glad I stuck with the traditional champagne and sprite...

New Year's Day, it is tradition to go to Great Grandma Betty's for snacks and games. The day was mild, and nice. Surprisingly enough, I stuffed myself, for anyone that knows me, this is very unusual for me to do in a social setting, "YEAH FREAKIN RIGHT", who am I kidding? I love food, I love people, and put the 2 together and I am a real mess....

Tyler happens to have a real love for Scott. Scott always taps his cheek and does a sort of squirrel call, so now, when T sees Scott, his immediate reaction is to make a funny face, noise, tap his cheek and say "Scott". Here, T is trying to help Scott get the sound out.

The ever famous, Great Grandma Betty. White hair and all, isn't is pretty! In Jay's words, she has the COOLEST basement ever. It's finished with a full kitchen and HUGE great room. Perfect for the entire clan, and anyone else that can be found to be a relation or not...

The tongue out, is a sign that she is thinkin' really hard. Sharon, Scott, my mom and Jay all happen to do the same thing. Poor kid, he didn't have any hope...

Here Sis(Sissy, SistA, Mary E) whatever you want to call her, and I are on the couch at Betty's. We shared some pretty good cheap wine, and agreed that we both love to eat snacks. I knew I was meant to be part of this family.

We have now officially began the New Year. The feeding frenzieS are over, and we must behave!
