Monday, Dena, Kara and Addison came by for some HP fun. The 3 kids played perfectly and we all had a blast.
Tuesday, Jay and I were in charge of Jack for the day. Jay was a wonderful big cousin on the lookout for Jack all day. We may have made mommy a surprise for Mother's Day too... I can only post this because Jill will never read this.
Below is a gorgeous pic, Jay took, YES Jay took out our living room window on Sunday evening.
Monday, some friends of ours were able to make it out for a day at the creek. Not only did we dodge any looming storms, and get a quick dip and picnic in at the creek. We ran between the hay bales, chicken house and trampoline all day. It was exhausting but SO fun for everyone. Dena and I were even let to sit and talk at the creek, while the 3 pirates were on the look out for treasures.
Addison, the animal lover. Addison is so excited to see all of our poultry. Her excitement is contagious.
Kara- Jay's latest woman and a Henry. She isn't as hip on the idea of holding a small squirmy creature as her sister, but as the day wore on she wanted to see them more and more.
Pose # 364 of a child with duck. Blonde boy, blonde duck.
Jay is absolutely, enthralled with duck feet. They are preferred over scratchy chicken feet. We have jointly decided that, ducks are WAY cuter than chickens.
Today we were lucky enough to watch Jack, my nephew for the entire day. Crazy as it is, my sister and I cross paths on the highways frequently, but never have time to get our kids together. Today worked perfect.
I intended to have a small photo shoot with Jack and Jay, unfortunately Jack isn't as into picture taking as Jay or I. The only way I could ge him to hold still was to let him pick the blooms off my forsythia. He seemed very content doing this. He had a specific place he wanted all the blooms to fall, and if they didn't- he would pick them up and move them.
During the brief time we had outside, with Jack he wanted to see the bulls, aka cows. He had no problem running straight for them, after I dropped him over the fence. Jay, being such a big cousin, ran after him and made sure he didn't get too close. Jay politely explained, just how Scott would that if he got too close, he could get kicked.
Jay with Henry 1 and Henry 2. What a lil stinker. He is so good with baby animals. I love that we live where we do, so that he can have experiences like this.
As soon as Daddy got home, Jay was thrilled to show him the bales closest to the house. He had to hop up and pose for a pic.
Today, Jay picked me some cute daffodils, and Jill brought me a dozen tulips for watching Jack. Look how perfectly they compliment each other. I love the raindrops on the window and silo in the background. I was pretty excited to get this shot.
