I suffered from the usual "mom guilt", by leaving Jay at a house full of kids with a teenage babysitter. Jay made me feel much better, by seeing no reason for me to feel guilty. He blatantly told me, he would rather be with the kids than us. Gotta love their honesty.
Fancy drinks and delicious food was served. We are very blessed to have such great friends, near and far to celebrate with.

The men, in rare form.

Tradition has it that, New Year's Day is spent at Scott's grandma's house every year. We eat lots of leftovers, snacks and desserts while playing cards and other fun games. 20-30 people usually come through at some time of the day. This year was a little different for us. We stopped by Grandma's for a short time then headed south to a friend from college house. Another friend from college was in from out of town. So as many of us as could, got together. It was enough. Most all of us have 1, if not 2 children. The kids had a blast and we all caught up on old times.

As you can see, it was tough to get the kids together, just as tough with moms included. :)
