slow down....

WOW! We have had such an exciting few days! "Joderz", Scott's youngest sibling just graduated from Mizzou! Her nephews- Tyler and Jay could not have been more proud, Well maybe it was the rest of us, that were so proud. Jay and Tyler were just excited to see their Aunt! Jodi is an amazing woman, and will do great things! We hope her career doesn't take her far.

Friday evening, we received a call that 2 orange kittens needed a new home. By Jay's request we went and got them. We think they are 5 weeks old, and probably still need mama, but we are having fun giving them bottles. Abbey and Wilson aren't sure what to think. Hopefully they remember to be nice.

Thursday night, Jay had his Spring program at school. Jay did great! Grandma Sharon, Papa George, Great Grandma Betty, Mark, Angie, Tyler, Grandma Chris, Papa Ron, and Jack all came for the show! We are blessed to have such a great school for Jay. It was a huge adjustment for us all, and still is, but we feel good about our decision. The program brought out all the "mommy tears". After talking to others, I realized I wasn't the only one, getting teary eyed at a slide show of munchkins. Afterwards, we went for ice cream- Jay got "dirt and worms". He did not want to eat his worms, until I reassured him they weren't real.

BOYS, BOYS, BOYS! On one of our walks, we ran into a toad. Oh what spring brings. This week we have found turtles and toads. Jay has no fear of grabbing one and bringing it close for a good look or even a kiss. I feel I am fairly, tough in that I will touch most critter. BUT NOT A TOAD! I hate them, and begged him for quite some time to put the nasty thing back in the creek. Another day of exploring!
