Busy, Fun Busy

WOW, Scott and I are so blessed. We have had so much time with family and friends lately. We are really lucky to have so many close friends. We have spent the past few weeks, enjoying good food and good company.

Friday night as a carry over from birthday week before, we were taken out to eat by Jill and Phil. They were in town, for a field trip to Toys R Us, and wanted to go out. Jay and Jack loved each other all night, and had a blast giggling and flapping their arms at each other. Phil and Scott got to catch up, and talk politics. The meal was great, and we all had a wonderful time with you all ! Thank YOU again!

Saturday morning, Angie, Tyler, Jay and myself journeyed to Forest Park to visit with the Channel 9 characters. It was titled Arthur's Day at the Park. It was crazy!!!! great idea, cute and free. BUT, we decided we would gladly pay to enter this event. IT was packed. Angie and I really thought we were being, "mom of the year" with this trip. Guess we can't always be super moms! After spending almost 3 hours in the park, seeing one character and sliding down 1 slide we left. Lines were hours long, and they boys could have cared less. At least we got to see all the characters early on, on the stage. It ended up being a nice day with Angie and Tyler, but a lot of time in the car, for so little when we finally got there.

Jay and Tyler with RUFF, some smelly dog from Channel 9. The only character with a line less than 2 hours.

Last night was a hayride, and there were so many young kids. Jay quickly hit it off, with some of the other kids. This group we only get together with a few times a year, but the boys are rapidly becoming buds. The weather was nice, cool but not cold, and the ride was fun. Scott came back with a full head of gray hair, from the dust, and Jay was as excited as ever to run more with the boys. Eric and Becca have built a new home, and it is beautiful. thanks for the invite!

Today we were lucky enough to be invited by some good friends of ours, that have a son Jay 's age, to the Lake of the Ozarks. The offshore boat races were this weekend and it sounded like a great idea for the boys. Jay and John had fun, in between moments of tiredness. Us adults had a very enjoying and relaxing time, in between visits from the water patrol. Don't you think trouble when you see us? WHATEV!!! Registration, who needs it???? :) Anyway, the weather was perfect, and the boats races were very exciting. We were thrilled to be asked, and had a wonderful time.

These two are trouble, watch out!!!!!
