Wednesday night Grandma Sharon was nice enough to pick Jay up from school to do some apple picking, so I ran errands while waiting to meet up with friends from college for some good food and conversation. It is amazing how much I can get accomplished and how much money I spent in 4 uninterrupted hours of shopping alone! 5 of us from college(SEMO Gamma Phi's) met at Mimi's Cafe and it was great, just as I had heard. Just an FYI, if you tell your waitress that you have never been there,, you get a gift, ours was 4 huge muffins for each newbie! And they were great.
It was great to see everyone, and I wish more could have come. We surprise ourselves with our conversations. We are getting so old, it's amazing that we all agree that it seems like just yesterday we were in Cape, wearing Toga's or walking to Village parties. Time sure flies when your having fun. I am so thankful that our friendships have lasted the miles between us, as well as men, husbands, children and time.
