This weekend while Scott was hunting in Iowa, Jay and I made some visits. We took Great Grandma Kohl shopping and to lunch, went swimming, then visited Great Grandma Shirley. Monday evening after work, we stopped by to visit Great Aunt Dorothy, then headed west and ate dinner with Great Aunt Helen. Jay is so lucky to have so many living greats on his family tree. He has 5 grandmas, and none of those are steps. We are a lucky family, that divorcee has not touched. We had a great time seeing everyone, and hope to do it again soon.
Now that Scott is home, he has 2 days off. Jay was lucky enough to stay with him today. Daddy, Jay and Papa George worked hard, and got the wood stove ready for winter and brought in plenty of wood. When I came home, the house was cozy as ever. I love the smell of a wood fire burning. It's not every week, we get so much family time. We need to cherish the weeks like this.
