I'm sitting here, listening to the rain, that is predicted to turn into a huge icy mess. We have had a nice weekend, nothing real exciting, but it was one of those that felt good. Friday we had a community event that Santa was at. Saturday, lots of odds and ends around the house. Mark chopped a huge tree down, for us, while he had his bucket truck. I think no matter, what the winter brings, we won't find our main electric line on the ground this year. We baked cookies, and cleaned. We ended the day with a local Christmas party and a little whiskey and Sun drop. We got to play catch up with some old friends, and that was nice. We hadn't been out with the HP crowd in quite a while. Sunday, there was another electric pole that was falling, Scott and George fixed that up too. Our house is ready for winter. Good thing, the storm is coming.

Jay with Santa, aka Tinker, shhhh... this weekend the HP booster club had it's annual Christmas party. I like to think of it as the Country Club of our small town. Only the elite are invited, and that included us. hee heee... The night was fun. SANTA, Bingo with all kind of prizes and delicious food, prepared by the best cooks in HP. Jay and Santa had a serious conversation about reindeer. He has told everyone.

Jay working hard on some "Poor Man's Turtles", he has asked if they will look like a man or a turtle? We have gone over the dual usage of the word turtle... Not sure he gets it, he keeps checking out the candy and just seeing candy.

Recipe if you don't already have it. These are great for kids to help with!

Pretzels, rollo and pecan halves. Line a cookie sheet with pretzels, lay one rollo on each pretzel. Bake it a low temp oven, just until the rollos smoosh, when pushed on. Remove from the oven and push a pecan into it. Let cool, and yummerz! No shelled animal and no

man, just a good taste.
