Rascals Game- Swimming

For Father's Day- Jay, Angie, Tyler and I purchased tickets for the 3 dads. George, Mark and Scott. Last night was the game. The forecast calling for rain, was WRONG, as usual and we ended up having a great night. Long, but great. the Rascals- won, well maybe. I don't know. I was too busy sampling ball park food, while it didn't reequire a loan to be taken out to purchase it, and some BL lime...mmmmmm. I also ran into 2 families from school as well as 2 other families from around home. What a small world. Jay had a blast, around the 7th inning, I finally took him across the park to the jump house, over there they also had a batting pratice for little ones, and a HUGE play area. Jay ran hard and loved it.

look at some of these faces, smile! hee hee As we were getting back to our seats, the fireworks began all home Friday night games, have a short fireworks display! How cool! Jay was intrigued, I guess you could say. All he could remember about fireworks, was that they scared him last year. He ended up liking them for the most part, as long as he was on my lap. Ruffie, the Rascal mascot dog, was what scared Jay the most this year, crazy boy... He really wanted him to take the dog head off. Jay knew it was a person, because his eyes didn't wink, as he told me. What an observant little guy he is. I hope the men enjoyed their evening, as much as we did.

Jay and I made a trip to the pool, yesterday We are so fortunate that Scott's aunt has an in ground pool, available for us to swim in. Jay is fearless, as long as he has on his "fat suit", with out this suit, he's really a big baby. :) I guess he has a mix of mine and Scott's feelings in the pool. He will jump and go under over and over, but not without the suit. The diving board is causing a bit of stress, Jay does not want to go off this, until he BIGGER. We keep telling him, that he did it last year. Oh well. No problem. I wonder if he will ever swim on a team? I also keep wondering if I should enroll him in swim lessons? I taught so many, that's parents were former lifeguards/instructors, and thought it was so odd. Now I see why they did it. The kids don't want to listen to mom or dad. anything I ask him to try, is an instant NO! As long as I leave him alone, he is all over the place, learning how to move in water.... what to do??????? But besides my stress over him being a good swimmer, I need to remember that he is 3! And we have a wonderful time at the pool each day we go. "going swimming" puts a big smile on both of our faces. This week we are planning lots of lake time, more smiles from our home, coming soon!
